Can I cut against the edge of a slab?

Yes. The AccuGlide cuts perfectly within 1/4” of the edge, without ridging or track movement.

Simply place a small piece of stone next to the slab for support as depicted below. EzCut Tracks extend over the edge without support.

3/8" Edge Cut Demos -
Over a thousand 1/4 to 3/8" slices of granite have been cut at trade shows since 2004. Attendees see first hand how easily the Accuglide can cut against the edge without clamping the tracks.
If we can cut a 18x30" piece of granite into thin slices without movement or stone ridging imagine how well the saw will cut on an average sized countertop piece.

How do I cut through the center of a slab?

Simply lock the trigger with a Velcro® strap* and pull the AccuGlide through the slab with the provided lightweight handle hooked into the front eye-bolt or rear eyelet.

*Never lock the trigger when the Saw is used without Tracks.

Do I need to clamp the tracks?

No,  The 7.5' and 12.5' Tracks do not need to be clamped. Many factors make this possible and one of our patents centers on this unparalleled idea and design. When the rubber lined tracks are placed on wet, clean stone, gravity alone is enough to keep them from moving. Other track saws that mimic the AccuGlide do not have the precision required to eliminate track movement and therefore have to clamp their rail systems. Without the necessity to clamp the tracks, setup with the AccuGlide is many times faster than other rail saws.

Our new EzCut Track further increases production on small pieces of stone such as backsplashes, eliminating any possibility of track movement. It locks to the surface of the stone in seconds rather than hanging the stone over the edge of the table to clamp.

Why buy an AccuGlide?

 Unmatched Quality and Engineering

Built to Last – Easy to Use
The innovative and durable design of our products and the consistent use of only the highest quality materials is the foundation of our reputation. We pride ourselves in unmatched quality and engineering. AccuGlide fabricators find our products easy to use and incredibly durable. Millions of feet of stone have been cut with precision by AccuGlide Systems.

Highest Quality 3.1 HP Equivalent Oil Bath Gear Reduction Motor
AccuGlide Saws are equipped with a powerful and durable motor for heavy production cutting in the shop. They are extensively tested and modified with a total of 78 necessary operations performed, including the coating of the electrical field and armature with six layers of insulating varnish. Since rail saws require numerous cut setups throughout the day, a lightweight but powerful motor is imperative to avoid operator fatigue and injury.

Designed by a Fabricator for Fabricators
No one is more familiar with the harsh production cutting environment created by natural stone than a stone fabricator. Each and every part of the AccuGlide was extensively tested before introduction to the stone industry ten years ago. AccuGlide engineering is proven, that’s why we offer a two year warranty on tracking systems. AccuGlides use German bearings and high wear stainless tracks and components. Other saws use aluminum and plastic tracking systems - materials that won’t hold up. The AccuGlide is continually improved based on our commitment to innovation and our customer’s feedback.

The Only Currently Patented Dual Rail Design Stone Saw
Why buy an imitation? The AccuGlide is the original patented dual rail stone saw, and our customers prove that it’s still the best. It is also the only dual rail stone saw with the blade located between the rails. This translates into better stability, balance and less vibration so AccuGlide fabricators get the cleanest cuts possible.

Versatility – Straight Cuts, Miters and Bevels at the Shop or Job
Other rail saws can’t provide you the same versatility the AccuGlide offers. In addition to smooth precision cuts in granite up to a 5cm depth, only the AccuGlide's stable and rigid design also translates into perfect chip free miters and bevels. This is true in the shop or on the job with the MiterMaster & VersaTable Accessory.

Easy to Setup and Use
The patented design of our Calibration Indicators makes setting up a cinch. Operators set up in seconds and cut precisely on the line without guesswork. Since the AccuGlide only weighs 28 pounds, operators move from cut to cut very quickly, without unnecessary fatigue.

Reputation
Our reputation is based on the success of our customers. Over the past fourteen years, the AccuGlide has established itself as the leading track saw in North America. Why? The AccuGlide has enabled thousands of fabricators to start their businesses and establish a good reputation – by doing the highest quality work without huge overhead costs. They are able to start small and grow, becoming an asset to the natural stone industry. A good percentage of start-up AccuGlide fabricators invest in large gantry saws and CNC machines as their businesses flourish. As your business expands, your AccuGlide will never become obsolete.

Large fabrication shops use AccuGlide Saws daily for seaming, rodding, pre-cutting slabs, as a backup saw, and on the jobsite. They own AccuGlide because they produce quality cuts without taking up the space or money required for an additional gantry saw.

Our goal, here at AccuGlide Saws, is to establish lifelong customers, not just make the initial sale. We are committed to quality customer service and support. Showing integrity to our customers by providing the highest quality products and service is the reason our company has been a success.

Why does AccuGlide Saws recommend step-cutting?

Advantages of step-cutting with the AccuGlide:
• It’s actually faster than cutting in one pass
• Super clean cuts
• Dramatically increases production
• Prolongs blade and motor life
• Huge savings in diamond tooling
• Step Gauge makes step-cutting easy

Making two fast and easy lineal passes in 2cm granite or three passes in 3cm granite is actually faster over the life of a blade compared to cutting one slow pass. Why?

When making multiple passes, especially in harder stones, you're staying within the cut parameters of a diamond blade. The blade will continue to wear properly without being damaged due to excess heat caused by over-cutting and premature loss of diamond. All AccuGlide Saws are capable of cutting 2 or 3cm granite in one pass, but for these reasons we discourage it. Step-cutting in granite is advantageous because it prolongs blade and motor life and allows for increased production. (Softer 2 or 3cm stones can be easily cut in one pass).

Step-cutting with the AccuGlide’s absolute precision tracking system minimizes impact on the stone, leaving it smooth and chip free. AccuGlide Saws are famous for extremely clean step-cuts, which contribute to faster overall production. Many fabricators who started with the AccuGlide and now own gantry saws, still cut their seams with the AccuGlide.

The best gantry saws and all CNC machines step-cut. If your machinery is engineered to step-cut (as is the AccuGlide), this will result in dramatically increased production and SUBSTANTIAL SAVINGS in diamond tooling. The AccuGlide’s engineering makes step-cutting in granite simple, fast, and easy – without ridging or excess chipping - which truly sets it apart from other rail saws.

Is the AccuGlide powerful enough for production cutting?

Yes. Thousands of fabricators since 1996 have proven this fact. Our lighter weight yet sturdy design far outperforms and outlasts other rail saws with cumbersome and heavy designs. Operators move from cut to cut without risk of back strain. AccuGlide Saws are well known for daily production cutting in 3cm slabs. The AccuGlide utilizes proven engineering, instead of and without deadweight, to track a blade perfectly – so you are able to accomplish the job more quickly and with less effort. In addition, AccuGlide Saws outlast the rest because they were thoroughly tested before introduction to the market and were specifically engineered to hold up in a production cutting environment.

Oil bath gear reduction motors vs. direct drive?

The torque generated by the gear reduction motor on the AccuGlide (28 lbs) equals that of a saw with a direct drive motor (80 -110 lbs). So what are the additional advantages of a gear reduction motor?

Initial start-up torque on a gear reduction motor far outperforms start-up torque on a direct drive motor. (A direct drive motor has a starter winding).
Most importantly, the reduced weight with an oil bath worm gear greatly increases production and minimizes operator fatigue.

Note: Hypoid gears, such as a Makita saw, contain a small amount of grease. These work well for cutting wood, but perform poorly for long hours of stone cutting.

What are the advantages of hands-on cutting?

With the AccuGlide, the operator gains the feel of the cutting operation. He can “feel” blade performance at all times, and speed up or slow down – according to the hardness of the stone and performance of the blade. This is a vital step in accomplishing maximum production. Because the operator is “in touch” with the saw and the material, the AccuGlide exceeds the cutting rate of self propelled systems, in addition to quicker setup. Our customers are always amazed at what little effort it takes to push the AccuGlide, and as they say “it cuts like butter” and “as smooth as glass.” AccuGlide Saws are simple and durable without complicated self-propelled parts to service and replace.

The AccuGlide vs. fixed bridge saws (x motion only)

Which scenario sounds easier to you? Moving two 26 pound tracks and a 28 pound saw on top of a slab and into cut position, or sliding a 10 foot, 800 pound slab around until the cut mark is lined up to the blade? Most would agree with the former, not the latter.

Full gantry saws (x and y motion) with turn and tilt tables are highly efficient for loading and cutting stone; but fixed table bridge saws are incredibly inefficient in comparison to the speed of use and cut production achieved by the AccuGlide.

An AccuGlide fabricator can setup an 11’ rip cut in less than a minute, perform the cut and then switch to a 6’ crosscut in seconds. This speed is impossible with fixed bridge saws. For start-up fabricators, AccuGlide Saws are far superior for speed of setup and cut production compared to fixed bridge saws. Here’s what one AccuGlide fabricator said about this… “AccuGlide proved to be an accurate and fast saw capable of making clean cuts... It is much faster moving the tracks instead of turning the table or moving the slab to achieve the desired angle.”

What are the Benefits of the QT Hub and Blade?

Quiet & True™ Hand Change Hub and QT Blades provide the operator with 40% noise reduction and eliminates blade flex for amazingly smooth cuts & miters, at no extra cost! That’s right – we don’t mark up our specialty QT™ blades! Reduced vibration and blade flex with QT™ Hubs also improves blade life, saving you money on tooling.
The unique patent pending Hand Change design makes changing blades a cinch without the need to look for a wrench. You can also gang up to three blades and spacers for channel cuts used in rodding and inlay work. The QT Hand Change Hub comes standard on all PRO and QT Saw Models.
The AccuGlide Classic Model is sold with an optional Classic QT Hub (not pictured). This economy hub reduces noise and improves cut quality, but can not gang blades and requires a wrench for blade changes.
We offer our customers the best blades in the industry from Pear Abrasive Company and Alpha Professional Tools. With a wide selection to cover all stone cutting needs from concrete to hard granites. Premium blades last longer, cut faster, and are consistent in quality for maximum production.

A saw only cuts as well as the blade is performing, so we use only the highest quality blades available. Click here to view our selection of QT™ blades
